​From the beginning of the year, although there are only a few bridges and roads were put into operation or partial operation pending completion as Ho Chi Minh city - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway; steel overpass at the Vung Tau intersection area; opened to traffic a new branch of Hoa An bridge ... has changed the face of Bien Hoa city in particular and Dong Nai in general. From now to 2020, according to the provincial expected planning, a series of bridges, roads, hospitals, schools, commercial centers ... continue to be formed and will make dramatic changes to Dong Nai’s appearance.


Here are some of the provincial planning project with the specific work aimed to implementation, somewhat will have a positive impact on the development of the Dong Nai in the next few years ...

In 2022, Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Zone becomes the Commercial-services center

According to planning adjustment to 2020 and vision to 2025, Dong Nai will not add more industrial zones but focus on implementing the industrial zones, specialized areas have been allowed by Prime Minister for investment licenses. 

- Establishment of new industrial zones (projected area of 970 ha): Phuoc Binh Industrial Zone 190 ha, Gia Kiem Industrial Zone 330 ha, Cam My Industrial Zone 300 ha, Suoi Tre Industrial Zone 150 ha. Particularly, Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Zone area of 355 hectares is expected to be converted the function into commercial-service center in 2022.

Expanding Industrial zone (1002 ha expansion area): Amata Industrial Zone from 527 ha to 674 ha, An Phuoc Industrial Zone from 130 ha to 201 ha, Long Duc Industrial Zone from 283 ha to 580 ha, Dinh Quan Industrial Zone from 54 ha to 161 ha; Xuan Loc Industrial zone from 109 to 303 ha, Tan Phu Industrial Zone from 54 ha to 130 ha, Long Binh Agtex Industrial Park from 43 ha to 153 ha.

Trang Bom becomes transit depot center 

Developing Bien Hoa city urban to center of trading transport hub, import and export logistics services in domestic goods in the Southeast region northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. Nhon Trach is the commercial center - logistics services of the sea port group V in Dong Nai, Cai Mep- Vung Tau ports and Saigon ports in the southeast region southeast of Ho Chi Minh city. Bien Hoa, Trang Bom is depot center transshipment of cargo flows through the ports of Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City, a hub for cargo transshipment in triangular area between South Central – South East – South of Highlands.

More new ports 

In the period 2015 - 2020: Develop dry ports ICD in Dong Nai, total capacity of 2 million TEU / year. Upgrading Long Binh Tan Cang IDC, total capacity by 1 million TEU / year in 2016-2020. Building new ICD port in Tan Van (Bien Hoa), Tam Phuoc (Long Thanh), Phuoc An (Nhon Trach) have the total capacity of approximately 500,000 TEU by 2020. 

Developing on the eastern transshipment depot with total area scale of about 1,400 ha, includes 3 areas to be located at the Phuoc Tan commune (Bien Hoa); Giang Dien and Quang Tien commune (Trang Bom).


 
 
 
Building Long Thanh High-tech Zone 
Calling for the investment on construction of Long Thanh High-tech Zone with total area scale over 400 ha; forming urban areas with scientist and services at approximately 1,400 ha in Long Thanh. Mobilizing investment resources to build biotechnology center towards establishment of specialized high-tech biotechnology in the future. 
Upgrade colleges and universities 
In the 2011 - 2015 period: Upgrading Medical College of Dong Nai to Dong Nai University of Medicine; Sonadezi College is upgraded to university; Upgrading Culture - Art Intermediate School to College of Culture-Art; Upgrade Economics Intermediate School to Dong Nai College...
In 2015, Dong Nai General Hospital in operation 
In 2015, completing the construction and put into operation Dong Nai General Hospital with 1,400 new beds, reaching first class regional hospital standard.
Many amusement parks springing up, forming regional job center. 
Constructing childhood world in Nhon Trach; attracting investment in building and forming Dong Nai Culture Area and south-east region in Bien Hoa City 
Focus on completing the investment and put into operation southern region job center with large-scale and modern.
Forming a series of belt way 
In the 2011 – 2015 period: Mobilizing investment 1A Highway (Bien Hoa city bypass), DDT768, DDT 769, 25B road, Ho Chi Minh city ring road 3. Hiep Hoa commune bridges and roads, Hoa An bridge, the harbor: Phuoc A, Phu Huu, Go Dau, transshipment depot ... coordinate with ministries, agencies; implementing the construction of  Long Thanh International Airport phase 1 in 2020, constructing highway, upgrading national highways passing through the province.

Many highways founded 
Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway: Bringing into use in stage 1 with 4 lanes. Thus, shortening the Ho Chi Minh City - Vung Tau travel time (120km) to 1 hour 20 minutes (compare to 2.5 hours). 
Ben Luc - Nhon Trach highway: Expected to be completed and put into use in stage 1 with 4 lanes by 2017. 
Dau Giay - Phan Thiet highway: Expected to be completed and put into use in stage 1 with 4 lanes by 2016.
Upgrading capacity of water plant 
Urban water supply: From now to 2020 is expected to complete Thien Tan 2 water plant with capacity 100.000m3/day in 2015 and completed Nhon Trach 2 water plant with 100.000m3/day from 2016 to 2020. Upgrading capacity of the Long Binh water plant to 50.000m3/day; Long Khanh water plant to 15.000m3/day. 
Drainage and wastewater treatment: Focusing on mobilizing investment for the construction of the drainage project and Bien Hoa city wastewater treatment stage 1; completion and operation of waste water treatment plant stage 1 with capacity 16.000m3/day of Nhon Trach district; project to renovate the wastewater treatment system in Long Khanh town, Long Thanh and other municipalities in the province.
Long Thanh International Airport replaces for Tan Son Nhat
Implementing the project to build Long Thanh International Airport in accordance with the approved plan has a total land area of about 5,000 hectares in the locality of Long Phuoc, Long An, Binh Son, Suoi Trau, Bau Can and Cam Duong.
Stage 1 to 2020: Long Thanh International Airport has 2 runways, terminal capacity of 25-30 million passengers / year and 1.2 million tons of cargo / year, taxiway system, aircraft parking and the synchronization works.
Phase 2 after 2020 to 2030: Continue to expand to replace the role of Tan Son Nhat international airport and become the largest international airport in the South, scale reach 4F with a capacity of 50 million / year and 1.5 million tons of cargo / year. The period after 2030: Long Thanh International Airport has 4 terminals, the total capacity of 100 million passengers / year and 5 million tons of cargo / year.
Formation of a dynamic economic axis 
Economic axis Bien Hoa - Long Thanh (highway 51, road 25B): Metropolitan spreading centers are Bien Hoa City and Long Thanh urban. This is a metropolitan center in the southern key economic region and Ho Chi Minh City.
Economic axis Bien Hoa - Trang Bom - Long Khanh - Xuan Loc (National Road 1): Metropolitan spreading centers are Bien Hoa City, Trang Bom District region and Long Khanh Town. Forming chain of industrial parks in the economic axis, on the basis of active and being constructing as: Industrial Zones in Bien Hoa, Ho Nai Industrial Zone, Bau Xeo Industrial Zone, Long Khanh Industrial Zone, Xuan Loc Industrial Zone. Also connected to Xuan Loc province where agriculture thrives with agricultural zones. link agricultural products chain from production (Xuan Loc District) to manufacture (Thong Nhat District) and put into consumption. Economic axis Thong Nhat-Dinh Quan-Tan Phu-Long Khanh Town-Cam My (Nation road 20 and national road 56). Developing economic axis national road 20 and later Dau Giay- Lien Khuong highway connecting Tan Phu District-Dinh Quan and Thong Nhat, connecting the northwest region of the province with national road 1A and southern regions. Metropolitan of socio-economic axis is Dau Giay urban, Dinh Quan, Tan Phu. Developing the Dinh Quan Industrial Zone, Tan Phu Industrial Zone, Gia Kiem Industrial Zone and some industrial zone in favor of agro-processing and garment projects, which use many workers.
