In the past few days, the competent agencies of Dong Nai have implemented the peak month to inspect and handle violations related to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic (from December 13 to January 13, 2022).
Bien Hoa City Police made a
record and handled a restaurant owner who violated regulations on prevention
and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.
During this time, the competent forces will focus on inspecting and handling cases of non-compliance with the 5K principle and violations of Directive No. 20/CT-UBND dated October 23, 2021 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the temporary measures to adapt safely, flexibly and effectively control the Covid-19 epidemic (referred to as Directive 20).
Epidemic prevention violations have occured at restaurants and eateries
Through the inspection of restaurants and eateries in the first days of peak implementation of the epidemic prevention, the competent forces of Bien Hoa City discovered many cases of violations of epidemic prevention measures. For restaurants and eateries, the typical violations are the sale of alcoholic drinks like wine and beer. In some other cases, the minimum safety distance of 1m was not ensured during the arrangement for guests to sit and eat. Some staff did not wear the face masks.
When being discovered by the inspection team with selling alcohol and beer to customers at his restaurant, Mr. N.M, the owner of a restaurant located in Quarter No.7, Thong Nhat Ward, Bien Hoa City said that he already understood the provisions of Directive No. 20 on the implementation of measures to prevent and control the epidemic. As regulated, restaurants and eateries must not operate more than 50% of the seat capacity; not allowed to sell alcoholic drinks to guests. When reopening the restaurant, Mr. M. asked the manager to arrange the number of tables to ensure that only 50% of the number of guests that could be accepted compared to weekdays. Regarding to not selling alcoholic drinks to guests, the staff has also informed and advised guests to understand. However, many guests after ordering food asked for beer or wine. In addition, some customers coming to the restaurants already carried with them the beer and wine from homes. In those cases, it is difficult for the restaurant staff to stop them.
Mr. T.N.T., manager of restaurant L.D. located at Quarter No. 6, Thong Nhat Ward said that for many months the restaurant has closed, when it was reopened, the manager and staff all complied with epidemic prevention regulations, including not selling alcohol or beer. However, Mr. T. also asks the authorities to consider adjusting regulations more appropriately so that food service businesses can both ensure epidemic prevention and control and meet the food and drinks demand of customers, in order to make business more convenient after many months of shutting down.
Deploying the competents forces for inspection and and handling the violations
Chairman of Bien Hoa City People's Committee Nguyen Huu Nguyen said that in order to promptly detect and handle violations in epidemic prevention and control, the leaders of Bien Hoa City have directed professional units: Public Security, Military, Health, Urban Order Management teams and leaders of 30 wards and communes simultaneously launched the peak month to check and handle the observance of measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in Bien Hoa City area.
Accordingly, since the evening of December 13, under the chairmanship of Bien Hoa City Police Security, inspection teams simultaneously went out to inspect and handle the observance of Directive No. 20 and the 5K principle, etc., especially at service businesses: restaurants, coffee shops, and so on.
According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City, the competent force will check and handle businesses, restaurants, clinics, medical examination and treatment facilities, etc who let the infected staff go homes without any discussions or coordinations with the local health department.
Directing the inspection team, Lieutenant Colonel Truong Anh Duc, Deputy Head of Bien Hoa City Public Security said, in the spirit of leadership at all levels, the police force will strengthen inspection and supervision to promptly detect violating individuals and organizations in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic. Inspection teams will focus on inspecting the crowded businesses for handling the violations.
In addition to the city's inspection teams, Bien Hoa City Public Security has directed the Public Security forces of 30 wards and communes in the city to set up local inspection teams to promptly handle violations of epidemic prevention and control.
Previously, since mid-November-2021, Bien Hoa City Public Security has inspected and handled many service businesses violating epidemic prevention and control. As a result, from mid-November to December 12, the police force detected and made records to handle more than 1,000 violations. In which, more than 70 businesses have violated the sale of alcoholic drinks to customers.
In the coming time, in addition to inspection and handling, Bien Hoa City Public Security will strengthen propaganda activities so that each citizen can raise their sense of responsibility in epidemic prevention and control. Bien Hoa City Public Security suggested that restaurants and eateries should comply well with the regulations on epidemic prevention and control set by the Provincial People's Committee to contribute to preventing the spread of the disease.
