Industrial production value increased by 4.45%

According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, the provincial industrial production value in 2021 is estimated to reach more than VND707.8 trillion, up 4.45% compared to the year 2020. The reason for this year's increase in industrial production value is due to the fact that the Covid-19 epidemic has seriously affected the production activities of industrial production enterprises in the province. In particular, a number of businesses with a large number of workers in the footwear and textile industries had to temporarily give workers a break for a while to prevent the epidemic. In addition, many businesses have faced difficulties in supplying raw materials and consuming products.

The low growth rate of industrial production value directly affects the province's GRDP, because in the economic structure the industry-construction accounts for more than 60%. Accordingly, it is expected that in 2021, the province's GRDP will only increase by nearly 2.3% compared to the previous year.
