According to the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority, there have been about 93 projects of foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises in the Industrial Zones that are building factories and offices to prepare for the production and business activities. The above projects have a total registered capital of nearly US$1.7 billion, industries of investment are quite diversified including electronics and components, machinery and equipment, tools and spare parts, agricultural product processing, food, etc. raw materials for textile, and footwear.
Dong Nai has 32 established Industrial Zones, of which 31 are in operation, and 1 is under construction of technical infrastructure. These Industrial Zones have attracted nearly 1,400 FDI projects with a total registered capital of US$27.5 billion. So far, FDI projects have disbursed US$21.6 billion. Recently, the situation of Covid-19 epidemic has resulted in many projects being delayed in construction progress.
