International integration and participation in free trade agreements (FTAs) are a good opportunity for domestic enterprises to have conditions to reach the ‘big sea’ with many conditions to develop and expand its market share. Determine its own strengths

In recent years, many Vietnamese businesses have invested in modern equipment and production lines to improve the quality of their products in accordance with international standards. At the same time, to create "distinctions" for its products, some businesses are aiming to develop specific local products.

Mr. Phan Van Thien, Deputy General Director of Bibica Joint Stock Company - the company has just continued to be voted for high-quality Vietnamese goods by consumers in 2020, said that in addition to investing in new production lines towards integration, the company now focuses on using more natural flavors and materials from regional specialties across the country to make a difference. Along with that is the packaging design of many products based on the understanding of Vietnamese traditions and customs,...

Representatives of supermarkets and trade centers in the province said that Vietnamese goods now account for about 80% of the shelves. Many Vietnamese products have been improved, enhanced models, product packaging, especially confectionery products, milk, fashion ...with packaging, increasingly modern design, combined with images, colors consistent with the culture and traditions of the Vietnamese ...

Enhance ‘internal forces’

When many FTAs were signed, the process of economic integration is becoming more and more extensive, domestic businesses face more pressure to compete with cheap goods, good quality services from partner countries right on the “home turf”. Therefore, in order to survive and compete, Vietnamese enterprises should proactively consolidate internal resources, improve quality, ensure elements of origin and production processes, etc.

According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Nam, Head of Legal Department of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) - Ho Chi Minh City branch, in the context of integration today, in order not to be "at a disadvantage" in the domestic market as well as to take advantage of export opportunities, Vietnamese businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, need to pay attention to meeting, while transparency of standards, regulations on quality, product origin, production processes, etc.

Mr. Vu Dinh Trung, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Committee of the Vietnamese people 's priority campaign to use Vietnamese products in the province (Steering Committee of 264 provinces) shared: “The Steering Committee of 264 provinces will coordinate with concerned departments, branches and localities to continue implementing programs to connect and encourage people to use Vietnamese goods, support businesses to improve the quality, innovate models, packages, build brand values for local goods and products in particular and Vietnamese products in general.”
