Agility to find new sources

Since the Covid-19 epidemic occurred, R.G.M.T CO., LTD (Trang Bom District) an enterprise specializing in manufacturing fashion for export, faced many difficulties because there were no orders. Facing the above difficulties, businesses have turned to sewing cloth masks to continue operations and ensure employment for workers.

Mr. Tran Minh Sinh, Deputy Director of R.G.M.T CO., LTD said that due to the effect of COVID-19 epidemic, the number of orders was small, so the sales of businesses also decreased. Orders exported to European countries must be stopped. Facing that situation, in addition to sewing the company's brand-name fashion products, enterprises have sought and signed with cloth sewing partners for employees to have jobs and stable incomes. Currently, businesses are stepping up the search of orders to maintain production, find ways for workers to maintain jobs and overcome difficulties and keep on with the businesses.

Similarly, Dong Nai Garment Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa City), facing difficulties caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, this enterprise has partially converted its production capacity from traditional clothing export to protective clothing and antibacterial masks to serve the community. With the advantage of being self-sufficient in non-woven materials, businesses focus on producing for signed orders. Enterprises have invested nearly 10 billion dong to import three automatic mask production lines. According to the plan of the enterprise, in the coming time, it will maintain the production of protective clothing and antibacterial masks while stabilizing production, ensuring employees' income and joining hands to serve the needs of disease prevention.

Worker Tran Thi Le, working at the said company shared: “I am glad that despite the difficulties, the company still strives to ensure employment for workers.”

Maintain production

According to business owners, the general situation over the past time was the lack of raw materials, and until the replacement of raw materials was found, orders in Europe and the United States were delayed and canceled. To create jobs for workers, some businesses turn to producing masks and labor protection products to serve the domestic market. Although the orders at this time are small, it is enough for businesses to maintain jobs for workers, not to leave them and affect their lives.

Mr. Pham The Linh, Director of The Linh One Member Company Limited (Tan Hiep Ward, Bien Hoa City), said the long-lasting Covid-19 epidemic had a partial impact on enterprises' production due to lack of raw materials and reduced orders from partners. To continue operating, ensuring income for 60 employees, this enterprise have been actively looking for domestic materials and new orders to gradually stabilize production.

Meanwhile, Head of the General Department of V.I.P SPORTS CO.LTD (Long Thanh District) Ly Xe Ba said that the enterprise currently has over 5 thousand employees. There are many labors who have devoted and attached to this enterprise for 10 yeas and over. During that time, they’ve worked their best and are ready to work overtime when businesses have many orders. Therefore, although currently businesses are affected by 60% of the production situation due to epidemics, they still rearrange production to create jobs and monthly income for workers. In addition, businesses also encourage workers to work, while simultaneously actively preventing diseases to ensure safety and health.

According to union officials, the COVID-19 epidemic is affecting many areas of production and business, and it is essential that businesses strive to maintain their operations to ensure employment and sharing with employees in difficult times.
