WP - According to the Provincial Construction Investment Management Board, the flood control project in Chua, Ba Lua and Cau Quan streams is expected to start construction in May 2020. Currently, the unit has completed the work of selecting contractors for construction and installation of more than 5 thousand meters of streams and 5 bridges spanning these streams.
However, at present, this project is facing difficulties because it has not been handed over the site (by Bien Hoa City People's Committee). The reason is that the verification and examnination of land origin in An Hoa and Long Binh Tan wards have been difficult and prolonged, not ensuring the time as prescribed.
The anti-flood project in Chua, Ba Lua and Cau Quan streams aims to address floods when heavy rains frequently occur in Long Binh, Long Binh Tan, Phuoc Tan and An Hoa wards.
The project was assigned by the provincial People's Committee to the provincial construction investment project management unit as an investor with a total budget of about VND 157 billion. According to the initial plan, the project would be started by the end of 2018 and completed by 2020. However, due to difficulties in site clearance, the project has not been started so far.
