Receiving the delegation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee said that Dong Nai belongs to the southern key economic region, with an area of 5,863 km2, accounting for 1.9% of the country's area and a population of more than 3 million people. Dong Nai has the advantage of being a regional traffic centre with Long Thanh International Airport, many highways passing through the province connecting to Cai Mep - Thi Vai Port and neighbouring provinces and cities, which are very convenient for enterprises who would like to invest in the fields of industry, trade and services, logistics and tourism. Dong Nai currently has 39 Industrial Zones, of which 32 ones are operating to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) of US$32.45 billion. Therefore, the province is giving priority to inviting FDI enterprises to invest in the fields of high technology, supporting industries, environmentally friendly projects, using less labour and high added value. The province hopes that in the future, the Embassy of Finland will act as a bridge and introduce Finnish businesses to invest in the province in various fields.
