Help employees improve their lives

At the beginning of April 2022, Feng Tay Group decided to increase the salary of employees by 3%. The group currently has the largest number of employees in the province with 67,000 people, working in 5 enterprises in 2 districts of Xuan Loc and Trang Bom. Mr. Le Quoc Thanh, CEO of Feng Tay Group, said that in the difficult situation of employees, in the first months of 2022, when petrol prices increased and prices escalated, businesses had calculated to actively increase 3% salary to support and compensate employees so that they can have a more stable life, not until waiting for the State to decide to increase salary before adjusting.

President of the grassroots Trade Union of Dona Standard Shoes Vietnam Co., Ltd., located in Xuan Loc District, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Giai said that the company currently has more than 31,000 employees working in production workshops. Employees have different circumstances, so when the company announced a 3% increase in salary from the beginning of April, all employees were very excited, and their working spirit was more enhanced.

Similarly, Global Dynamic Mechanical Company Limited has over 1,600 employees. Currently, the company has signed orders until 2023 and creates jobs and stable income for employees. To encourage employees to work responsibly, support the business of company, and share difficulties with employees when prices escalate, the company's leaders met with the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union and agreed to increase the salary by 10% for all employees in April 2022. In addition, for laborers working in heavy, hazardous, and hard-working departments, the responsibility will be increased by 5% of salary.

Representatives of business leaders said that in the past year, employees have made great efforts to overcome difficulties with enterprises to maintain production and quickly restore production. Many workers had to leave their families to stay at the company to work to ensure safety against the epidemic and not to disrupt the production chain. Therefore, when prices escalate, workers' lives become challenging, the company agrees to increase wages and share with employees. This is a great effort to recognize employees' contributions to the development of enterprises. Before that, at the beginning of 2022, the enterprise provided 2 months of rental accommodation for new workers. In addition, implementing adequate policies so that employees can work with peace of mind in production.

Increase income for employees

Realizing the difficulties of employees, from the beginning of the year, businesses have actively increased benefits, salaries, and bonuses for employees to retain as well as attract resources. Mr. Nguyen Cong Doan, General Director of Daikan Vietnam Co., Ltd, Bien Hoa City said that over the past time, the Covid-19 epidemic has greatly affected the lives of employees. Therefore, immediately after receiving information about the proposal to increase the minimum wage for employees, enterprises actively increased wages for employees by 5% or more, but the average increase was from 8-9%. "This shows the company's sharing with the difficulties of employees and is also a policy to keep employees to continue their working at the company" - Mr. Doan shared.

In gratitude for the contributions of employees, YKK Vietnam Co., Ltd, Nhon Trach District has just awarded a special reward to all officers and workers working at the company VND5 million per person. The representative of the enterprise said that, after reaching an agreement with the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union and based on the company's performance results and the efforts and contributions of the employees, the Board of Directors decided to give a special bonus to all employees. The bonus has been transferred to the employee's account. Most employees are very excited when receiving the attention of enterprises. The company expects employees to always work hard, create quality products, and contribute to the development of the whole company.

In the recent meeting of Trade Union activities in the first quarter of 2022 organized by the Provincial Confederation of Labor, many union officials said that an encouraging signal is that from the beginning of the year, the employment and income of employees gradually stabilized; labor relations are quite harmonious and progressive. But in order to keep the current working capability of employees, businesses need to have many good policies to retain employees. In particular, pay attention to salary and long-term benefits to make employees feel secure when working at enterprises. In addition, the grassroots trade union needs to stand side by side with employees to ensure timely benefits, not to let workers suffer disadvantage when working overtime regularly while the salary is not guaranteed.
