In addition, businesses also implement policies for employees outside of the law such as: giving Tet gifts, organizing cultural activities, performing arts, lucky draw at the end of the year, etc. “When we persuade enterprises to agree with the employees’ aspirations, we are very excited, and employees are also assured to work and complete the assigned orders.” - Mr. Ba shared.
At Minh Thanh Company Limited, GTU Chairman Nguyen Dinh Tho said, drawing on experience from previous years, in order to attract employees to return to work after Tet holiday, the GTU held a meeting with the owner to offer the salary and bonus payment options for employees. Accordingly, this year, this company has not been affected much from the epidemic, many orders have been signed by mid-2021, so the employees’ benefits are still guaranteed. In particular, the Tet care activities for employees are still maintained as last year such as giving gifts, supporting car-tickets and lucky money for employees who return to work after the Tet holiday. As for Tet bonuses, if the collective labor agreement has specific provisions, it is suggested that enterprises comply with their commitments with employees, on average 1-2 months salary.

Stabilize the labor situation
Over the past time, many business owners have highly appreciated the role of the GTU in stabilizing the working mentality of the employees. This is an activity that clearly demonstrates GTU contribution from which businesses are ready to support and accompany the GTU to take care of the employee’s life.
According to the Provincial Labor Confederation, to ensure employees’ interests at year end, the provincial labor force instructed the Trade Union at all levels to closely monitor the implementation of regimes for the employees, not allowing arrears to employees’ wages and bonuses. Therefore, in order to respond specifically to the employee’s recommendations, the GTU cadres must not only have a firm grasp of the law, but also have to skillfully explain so that employees can understand, avoid conflicts occurring and affect production. “When workers need it, we can be present in time, making efforts to build a civilized and stable working environment for many years. In addition, the GTU always coordinates with enterprises to directly dialogue and express their concerns in the spirit of respecting the employees’ opinions. Only will they feel secure, long-term attachment to businesses will appear.” - said Mr. Truong.
Mr. Le Duc Thuy, Chairman of Labor Federation of Trang Bom District, said that at this time, the labor relations situation in the district is quite stable and the employee’s working thought is positive, accompanying the enterprises to complete the yearly production plan. To get that result, it is important to mention the role of GTU in accompanying businesses to overcome difficulties, maintain production and ensure jobs for employees. However, the district labor force also noted that the GTU should closely follow their activities - especially in the last months of the year related to the payment of salaries and bonuses of enterprises to employees, and many new policies in the Labor Code (revised) will take effect in early 2021.
