WP- On December 23, the People's Committee of Long Thanh district continued to organize the payment of compensation and support payments for the 9th round for households whose land was recovered under the project of land acquisition, compensation, assistance and resettlement at the Long Thanh international airport.

In phase 9, People's Committee of Long Thanh district paid 910 billion VND to 350 households (324 households compensated due to land acquisition and 26 cases of additional compensation for assets, no compensation for land). These are households whose land is acquired in both the priority area for site clearance (area of 1.8 thousand ha) and the rest of the project (area of 3 thousand ha). So, after 9 times, currently, People's Committee of Long Thanh has paid compensation and support to 1,167 households with the amount of more than 2.8 trillion dong.
According to the People's Committee of Long Thanh, in addition to 9 payments, the authorities have also announced the compensation plan for an additional 807 households. For these households, it is expected that the People's Committee of Long Thanh will complete the payment in January 2021.
