In the next phase, Dong Nai plans to plan an additional 6.5 thousand hectares of industrial land. Industrial park development areas are concentrated in Long Thanh, Trang Bom, Cam My, Thong Nhat and Long Khanh city ... Thus, it can meet the requirements of investors and exploit the advantages of the province.

*Open many new industrial zones

Districts, Bien Hoa City and Long Khanh City have nearly completed the district land use plan for the period of 2021-2030, the land use plan for the period of 2021-2025 for appraisal and approval. In particular, districts and cities in the province have updated their industrial land areas. So in the next period, Dong Nai will deploy about 8 new industrial zones (IZs) and expand 3 more industrial zones. Industrial zones are expected to be newly invested with a total area ofover 4.3 thousand hectares, including: Xuan Que urban Service Industrial Zone (Cam My district); Hang Gon Industrial Zone(Long Khanh City); Bau Xeo 2 Industrial Zone(Trang Bom district); Phuoc Binh 2 Industrial Zone, Phuoc Binh 3, Phuoc Binh 4, Binh An Urban Service Industrial Park (Long Thanh District) and Phuoc An Port Service Industrial Zone(Nhon Trach District). At the same time, the province also plans to expand three more industrial zones with 745 hectares, namely Dau Giay Industrial Zone, Long Khanh Industrial Zone (Thanh Nhat District) and Tan Phu Industrial Zone (Tan Phu District).

In addition, the province is urgently completing investment procedures for 3 industrial zones approved by the Government, namely Cam My Industrial Zone (Cam My District), Gia Kiem Industrial Zone (Thong Nhat District) and Phuoc Binh Industrial Zone (Long Thanh District). Districts and cities urgently complete 23 industrial clusters to attract small and medium enterprises to enter production process.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Cam My district, Mr. Huynh Tan Thin said: “The district is urgently completing documents to implement 2 industrial zones and 1 large industrial cluster in the area. Over the past time, many investors have come to the district to seek information and want to invest in technical infrastructure  and rental land in the industrial zones and industrial cluster for factories construction ”.

The more convenient the traffic is, the more attractive the investors are. For example, Long Khanh city attracts many domestic and foreign enterprises to invest in Suoi Tre and Long Khanh IZs. The two above industrial zones are nearly filled up, so Long Khanh City proposes to expand Long Khanh Industrial Zone by 500ha more in Xuan Thien commune (Thong Nhat district) and 300ha more in Hang Gon Industrial Zone.

Vice Chairman of Long Khanh City People's Committee, Mr. Do Chanh Quang said: “Since the Ho Chi Minh City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway moved from Ho Chi Minh City to Long Khanh only took nearly 1 hour, many investors are seeking investment opportunities in  Long Khanh. The industrial zones in the city are nearly filled, so in order to develop more industries, new construction and expansion of industrial parks must be planned ”.

* Investment priorities

In a meeting with departments and localities on the economic situation of the 1st10 months of 2020, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Cao Tien Dung directed: “Departments and branches must coordinate with localities to plan and implement infrastructure of industrial zones promptly to welcome the wave of foreign direct investment (FDI) which is shifting to Vietnam. Currently, there are 3 industrial zones that can be quickly deployed: Phuoc An, Phuoc Binh and Cam My ”.

IZs in the province that have demand to expand, newly build must first acquire land from organizations, individuals and households. For a long time, the compensation and ground clearance for projects often last longer than the prescribed time, leading to slow implementation of projects. According to enterprises that have invested in infrastructure of provincial industrial zones, they want the industrial zones to complete their infrastructure soon to attract secondary investors, localities to quickly compensate, land clearance and clean land allocation. for construction investors. Some IZs have expanded, making new investments, the land is mainly covered by rubbers, so it is very convenient in compensation.

The areas that many companies want to invest in the industrial sector are Long Thanh, Trang Bom, Nhon Trach, Thong Nhat, Long Khanh. In the next 5 years, when Long Thanh International Airport and a series of highways are built and put into operation such as: Ben Luc - Long Thanh, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau, Dau Giay - Phan Thiet ... Dong Nai will be the place with high demand in industrial investment from domestic and foreign enterprises.
