On March 22nd, 2013 the Provincial People’s Committee issued the plan no. 2207/KH-UBND on securing traffic order and safety in 2013.
The plan aims at inspecting the progress and result of actual deployment, direction, and implementation of measures to ensure traffic order and safety (traffic safety) at many departments, agencies and members of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee and local People’s Committees; precisely reviewing the situation and manifestation of traffic safety, traffic jams, traffic accidents and traffic culture building at all levels, areas; checking current situation at some localities and units. Besides, the Provincial People’s Committee requested all branches and provinces to fully and accurately make report on the situation of what is done, being done or wrongly done.
As for focal points for inspection, the plan also pointed out operational methods and implemental results of directives of the province about traffic safety. Fundamental results were achieved in the field of propagation of education and training about law on traffic order and safety; ensuring transportation infrastructure, reducing accident blackspots; enforcing traffic violations ; regulating the responsibilities of lawful arrestors (all forces responsible for ensuring traffic safety); the result of traffic accident limitation and traffic congestion in the province. Besides, all departments preliminarily summarized the first 06-month implementation of the theme under directive no 17/CT-UBND dated May 29th, 2012 by Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Plan no 62 / S-BATGT dated May 4th, 2012.
The plan also approved the schedule for investigation, members of inspection team and the practice of implementation.
