250 poor students receive “overcome difficulties to study well” Scholarship in 2006

Over the past 18 years since its establishment, provincial Fund for Children Sponsorship have gradually enhanced its operation and expanded its sponsorship to students. Up to now, it has supported over 30,000 students, who are extremely poor, disabled or have incurable diseases, with the total amount of over 38 billion VND. Of 30,000 students, 3,500 have been granted the “poor students overcome difficulties to study well” and “Encourage to go to school” scholarships by the provincial Committee for Population, Family and Children. With these supports, these students have tried their best to study well and got good results. Many of them have graduated university and succeeded in their works and lives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs. Huynh Thi Ngay, vice chairperson of provincial People’s Committee suggested that leaders of departments, agencies, unions, organizations and localities should enhance their instructions and try their best to mobilize all the resources from society to the course of educating and protecting children, especially who have difficulties in their lives.

On This occasion, the provincial Committee for Population, Family and Children had granted “poor students overcome difficulties to study well” scholarships to 250 students in the province. Each scholarship is worth 500 thousands VND.
