The Red Cross Association of Dongnai province donates wheelchairs to Agent Orange victims

Agent orange victims are receiving wheelchairs

With strong desire to ease pains and to help disabled people as well as Agent Orange victims to have normal lives, the provincial Red Cross Association has recently mobilized patrons to donate wheelchairs to them.
In 2006, this is the second time the Association presents wheelchairs to this disabled people. The total wheelchairs donated in the second time are 105 with the total amount of 140 million VND.  The first time in 2006, the Association had offered 320 wheelchairs for disabled in the province.

“Everyday, my husband and I take turn to carry him to the fields. When we work, he is lying on a cloth under a tree. Then, we have to carry him home. With this wheelchair, we can take him to the fields easily. I am grateful to all the patrons and please send my thanks to them”, said Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim, the mother of an Agent Orange victim in Tan Phu district.

Le Van Tan, an eight grader of Trung Hung junior high school in Xuan Hiep commune of Xuan Loc district, happily said “with this wheelchair, I can go to school on my own.
