Training and Education sector is ready for new school year

In 2005-2006 school year, there are more 8 pre-schools, one nursery school, one elementary school, 3 junior high schools, 3 senior high schools and 2 colleges in the province. Presently, there is 1 vocational training, 1 province-level supplementary education center, 11 district-level supplementary education centers, 1 province-level supplementary education schools, 8 foreign languages and computers centers, and 100% of the communes in the province has the community education center. Accordingly, there are more 1,305 teachers. In this school year, the training and education sector successfully held the first national sport festival for disabled people and won the first prize for team. 25 elementary pupils have high results in the national good handwriting contest. In the traditional April 30 Olympic contest for excellent students, Dongnai students won 11 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 9 bronze medals.

To implement plans and targets of 2006-2007 school year, Director of the Dongnai Department of Training and Education Le Minh Hoang pledged that the sector would keep on innovating the basic contents of training and education, education programs and teaching methods and implement to teach the new textbooks of high school, especially that of the tenth grade. The sector would enhance the training and education infrastructures such as schools, classroom. Particularly, it focused on upgrading the quality of teaching staffs and education in the province as well as that of administrators and figured out plans and methods to prevent cheating in examination.

The conference witnessed the singing of the commitment in response to the movement entitled “Say no with cheating in examination and chasing after achievements in education”.

Speaking at the conference, Vice chairperson of provincial People’s Committee requested the education sector should prepare all conditions and get ready for the new school year to fulfill the key targets of the sector as to basically improve the education management and education quality.
