The Deputy Prime Minister highly commended the achievements gained by the company after ten years of establishment. Starting its business from purchasing and importing used automobiles to be reconditioned and then resold in the market, today Truong Hai  has sizable factories in Dong Nai and Chu Lai (Quang Nam) and has cooperated with automobile companies from South Korea and China to assemble and manufacture trucks, buses, coaches based on a state-of-the-art technological line of Japan, Germany, South Korea, the U.S.A, etc. in order to meet domestic demand. Among these, the cooperation in manufacturing several kinds of spare parts and increasing localization rate as set out by the State policy are highly lauded. The company is also recognized through its care for  workers’ life and its contribution for the sake of the community. The Prime Minister hoped that based on its ten-year achievements, Truong Hai Automobile Company would develop comprehensively and sustainably to integrate into the WTO, keeping up to its reputation as a leading automobile manufacturing and assembling company in Vietnam and ranking with other automobile manufacturers in the region.

It is known that in May 2007, Vietnamese automobile manufacturers sold more than 5,500 autos, in which the commercial type accounted for 2,770 autos, an increase of 420 vehicles from the previous month, representing a growth of more than 70% over the same period last year. It is significant that Truong Hai Automobile Company (THACO) surpassed other big auto manufacturers to rank second after Toyota in the number of cars sold (930 vehicles). Accordingly, Truong Hai rose up to hold the second position during the last few months. It is estimated that sale of 1,000 autos per month in the future is within reach of the company.
