Industrial production in February 2007

Specifically, in February 2007, the value of industrial production of centrally-run sector reached 492.6 billion VND, down 16.8% from the previous month; of local state sector 177.15 billion VND, down 22.8 %; of non-state sector 612.6 billion VND, down 8.3% from last month; and of foreign investment sector 3,410.6 billion VND, down 3,6%. The reason for this fall is that enterprises closed during the traditional lunar new year holidays. However, the estimated value of industrial production of all industries in the first two months of 2007 rose in comparison with that of 2006: The foreign investment sector recorded an increase of 30.1%, the non state sector 21.1%, etc.
