Industrial Production in August of 2007 in Dong Nai province has reached over VND 5.3 thousand billion.

It is estimated that the production value of central industry has reached VND 719.09 billion (up 2.6 percent last month) with 11/13 secondary industries and 35/35 enterprises whose production growth rate increased in comparison with last month. The production value of local state-owned industry reached VND 277.79 billion (rising by 4 percent).  Production value of privately owned industry reached VND 620.89 billion (rising by 1.1 percent) and that of foreign-invested industry reached VND 3,705 billion (rising by 0.8 percent).

However, production growth rate of some of branches has declined compared to the same period such as: local state-owned industry including wood processing with 10 percent decrease, mechanical production with 21 percent decrease; printing and publishing with 36% decrease; central industry including wood and forest-product processing with 11.1% decrease, agricultural machine manufacturing with 8.4 percent decrease; electronics production with 25 percent decrease etc The reasons are that these industries have not won any significant contracts of consumption yet and a large number of products in stock have not been sold.
