Despite difficulties in capital and increase in labour cost and material expenses, Bien Hoa’s industrial production value reached more than VND 330 billion in the first nine months of 2007 or 77.65 percent of the year’s plan and up 5% compared to the same period in 2006.

Accordingly, household economic sector reached 76.4 percent of the year’s plan, up 15% compared to the same period. Concerning cooperative sector, six craft- industry cooperatives are operating with an increase in turnovers of the first nine months thanks to the fact that rattan and bamboo weaving cooperatives found the market for their product consumption.

As far as it is known, the City is carrying out industrial complex planning such as: infrastructure construction of Tan Hanh pottery & porcelain industrial complex, Tan Hoa wood industrial complex and Hoa An industrial complex.

However, difficulties in capital, increase in material expenses, shortage of skilful workers and so on have had relatively strong influence on the enterprises’ turnovers, profits as well as investment in new technology
