The industrial branch of building-material exploitation and production in July reached more than VND 2.66 billion, increasing 21 percent in comparison with the same period last year. The main reason for this increase is the growing tendency for building needs.

As for the processing of agricultural and forestry products, the production value of many companies increased such as: Dielac Milk Company up 20 percent, Bien Hoa Coffee Joint-Stock Company up 27.5 percent, La Nga Sugar Joint-Stock Company up 30 percent, thanks to their numerous contracts of consumption won.

In addition, products of coffee, sugar in early months has increased in consumption because the demands for domestic and export market are on the increase. Market for products such as: fowls, meat, seafood, pepper, exported frozen prawns etc is stable and has risen rather significantly, contributing to the growth rate of this branch’s industrial production value of over VND 8.6 billion in July.

The textile, garment and footwear also rose by 25.7 percent compared to the same period last year because the demands for fibres and fabrics at home and abroad has gone up, not to mention more and more orders made by American and European countries. Besides, a number of enterprise have come into operation but gained high productivity such as Jomu Textile Company, Jung woo Textile etc

The branch of wood and bamboo processing increased by 32.6 %, the branch of chemicals, rubber and plastic increased by 20.9%, the mechanics branch increased by 18.1%, the branch of electronics increased by 15% and the branch of water and electricity increased by 11.6% etc

However, enterprises have had to face with stiff competition while they are trying to expand and occupy the market. Typically, there is an intense competition between Vedan’s MSG products or Jujitsu’s electronic device and respective Chinese products or garments exported to the US is running the risk of being sued for dumping etc In addition, that prices of some raw material has both gone up and become rare has hindered enterprises’ operation so production value of branches has increased but not at high growth rate. This requires the enterprises to look for new markets for consumption and raw-material import as well as improve their product quality.
