Products from companies and cooperatives in Dong Nai have a chance of expanding their market

This event gained the attention from various cooperatives, cooperatives unions, companies, and enterprises who are members of the country's 63 provinces and cities cooperatives, with 300 opened booths. The products displayed at the fair were OCOP certified products, or staple products of the region; agricultural products like vegetables, processed agricultural products; handcraft products, garments, machinery, equipment and tools, parts used for agricultural production purposes, services,…

According to the Vietnam Cooperatives Union, currently, it is difficult finding an output for the cooperatives. Therefore, following the guidelines from the National program on promoting trade in 2023, Vietnam Cooperatives Alliance (VCA) worked together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize the “Trade promotion fair for the collective economic sector and cooperatives in the Southern region". According to the Trade and Investment Promotion Center of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, the participating parties had an opportunity to connect and promote trade, products consumption, utilize technological achievements in productions and business associated with the value chain.

Statistics from the VCA has showed that, the proportion of paddy, rice, pepper and vegetables produced by cooperatives, cooperatives unions, cooperative groups and their members in regions around the country make up 70% of the country's total output. Other agricultural and aquaculture products make up 25 to 30%, while OCOP certified products production accounted for 45%. These figures show that cooperatives and cooperatives unions are playing important roles in the domestic and global markets.
