(CTT-Dong Nai) – On July 24th, in the Provincial People's Committee Stateroom, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang and representatives of leaders of departments and branches welcomed the ministerial-level delegation of Andhra Pradesh state, India led by Mr. Buggana Rajendranath – Minister of Finance, Development & Skills Training, Trade Tax, Planning and Legislature of Andhra Pradesh as Head of the delegation to visit and work in the province. Joining the delegation was also Mr. Mahesh Chandra Giri – Consul of India's Consular General in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang informed the delegation about the socio-economic and the attracting foreign investment capital situation in Dong Nai province. It is reported that there are 45 countries and territories investing in the province with a total of 1,587 projects, with a total registered capital of 33.79 billion USD. The province also drafted and signed 38 Memorandums of Understanding, the first provincial-level international cooperation agreement and re-signed 13 provincial-level international cooperation agreements with foreign localities and partners.
Over the last 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the relationship between Vietnam and India has been maintained and developed gradually for the better, becoming a comprehensive strategic partnership. Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang highly appreciated the interest and active support of the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City for Dong Nai province, specifically the coordination in organizing many activities in Dong Nai province in recent years, such as: Art Exchange Program "Parinday - Music of the Soul"; Conference on investment and trade promotion with Indian businesses; the International Yoga Day in the province. At the same time, the Vice Chairwoman informed the delegation that the province is expected to organize a delegation of Dong Nai province to promote trade in India in the third quarter of 2023.

Also at the meeting, Mr. Buggana Rajendranath gave a brief introduction about Andhra Pradesh state. Accordingly, the state of Andhra Pradesh is the eighth largest state of India with a population of 60 million, contributing a lot to India's exports and GDP growth, accounting for 40% of seafood exports and one thirds of India's total fish production. In addition, the state of Andhra Pradesh is in the top 3 of India in terms of animal feed, eggs and cotton for the textile industry… Andhra Pradesh state currently has a land bank available for investors, large number of industrial parks, ports and fishing center, and it is capable of providing English-speaking workforce and information technology…

Mr. Buggana Rajendranath appreciated the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and other departments for taking the time to welcome the delegation. He also expressed his wish to soon begin cooperative activities based on the potentials and strengths of the two parties, and to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Dong Nai province and Andhra Pradesh in the near future.
In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited Mowi Vietnam Co., Ltd at Amata Industrial Park.
