Dong Nai is currently the locality with the highest forest area and forest coverage rate in the Southeast region. In addition, Dong Nai has the world's 211th biosphere reserve, successfully conserving wild elephants and primates, and is the only place in Vietnam where wild animals can be viewed.
This is a strength that Dong Nai province continues to preserve and promote because the rate of forest cover is one of the criteria for assessing the sustainable socio-economic development of a province, region, and country.
