Suggestions from businesses to invest in high-tech agricultural projects

​(CTT-Dong Nai) – Recently, Member of the Party Central Committee, and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh chaired a meeting with the KN Investment Group (owner of the Long Thanh Golf franchise) to discuss the implementation of high tech agricultural production projects in Long Thanh and Cam My districts. Also attending the meeting were Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives from various relevant departments, offices and localities.

Accordingly, the enterprise proposed to implement 4 high-tech agricultural projects in the locality of Long Thanh and Cam My districts. In which, one will be in Long Thanh and the rest will be in Cam My. The target of these projects are the implementation of safe, circular agriculture models that utilized advanced technologies along the value chains and connecting the consumer market. The highlights of these projects include experimenting and transferring agricultural production techniques centers; application and conservation centers…  These projects are estimated to contribute 1,5 trillion VNĐ to the province’s budget annually, and will bring an average 586 million USD/ year in export value, while creating jobs for more than 7 thousands workers.

The investor's representative proposed the projects 

At the meeting, representatives of departments and offices assessed that the enterprise's policy of developing hi-tech agriculture is consistent with the province's long-term orientation. Accordingly, the profit value on an area of land must be increased many times compared to the present. In addition to industrial and urban development, Dong Nai also has great potential in high-tech agriculture. In order to have a basis for implementation and help the locality in choosing investors, the enterprise need to thoroughly analyze the investment efficiency and legitimacy of the proposed projects as well as issues related to the provincial planning.

Concluding the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh believed that, to attract investors, the province must ensure to create conditions to produce products, not half-heartedly because of the potential loss to both businesses and the state. The view of the province is that the selection of investors must be open and transparent about the ideas and capacity of the business. Investors need to predict and calculate specific solutions when implementing, the potentials and advantages available in the locality.... The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also suggested that the enterprise studying more about the development of future trends, the feasibility of each locality and project in order to present them in detail to local leaders. ​
