100 foreign non-governmental organizations, FDI enterprises and foreign associations attended the meeting and appreciation conference

​(CTT-Dong Nai) - On July 28, the Union of Friendship Associations of Dong Nai province coordinated with departments, branches and offices to organize a meeting, appreciation and promotion event for foreign non-government organizations, FDI enterprises, and foreign associations in 2023.

This is an activity in the People's External Relations Program of Dong Nai province in 2023, in order to meet and express appreciation to foreign non-governmental organizations, FDI enterprises, and foreign associations that have actively cooperated and financed support non-governmental projects in Dong Nai province in 2022 and the first 6 months of 2023. At the same time, the province wants to continuously receive new cooperation projects in the future.

Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Associations, Head of the People's Aid Coordination Committee of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Associations; Leaders of the Union of Friendship Associations in Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and nearly 100 foreign non-governmental organizations, FDI enterprises and foreign associations attended the event.

Representatives of Dong Nai province were Mr. Huynh Thanh Binh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee; Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang; Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province Nguyen Tat Do and leaders of departments, offices and branches of the province.

View of the event 

It is stated that in 2022 and the first half of 2023, Dong Nai province has cooperated with 22 times of foreign organizations, companies, funds and associations to deploy 28 grant-in-aids with a total guarantee of over 123 billion VND. In addition to cooperation and sponsorship from foreign non-governmental organizations, there are also participation from businesses and trade associations of other countries and the demonstration of social responsibility of some FDI enterprises in the province. The support and cooperation of these organizations with the province in the past have contributed to the well implementation of social security, improving living standards of poor households, poor ethnic minority households, people living in remote and secluded areas of the province, people with disabilities; helping many children from disadvantaged backgrounds to go to school. In addition, they also support the province in techniques, improving soft skills in the fields of medical, education, vocational training, environmental protection...

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang highly appreciated the cooperation results in the past and said that Dong Nai province wished to continue to cooperate with many foreign non-governmental organizations, diplomatic agencies, foreign associations and FDI enterprises in the province in the coming time, through which, jointly building and cultivating the bonds and solidarity between the people of Dong Nai province and the people of other countries. The province is always ready to create every favorable condition for the successful implementation of humanitarian projects.

At the conference, the Provincial Union of Friendship Associations presented the appreciation tablets of the Provincial Union of Friendship Associations to 13 foreign NGOs, FDI enterprises, and foreign associations that have cooperated in implementing the foreign non-governmental projects in the province. At the same time, 6 foreign NGOs, associations and FDI enterprises have awarded symbolic tablets committing to cooperate in implementing future projects.
