(News Portal – Dong Nai) - According to the Nhon Trach District People's Committee, the final section of 25B Road (also known as Ton Duc Thang Road), from Nhon Trach District Center to Quach Thi Trang Road, is being urgently constructed, with the overall progress of the route reaching over 30%. The construction unit has devised plans to work at night to make up for delays caused by bad weather. The remaining section (from National Highway 51 to the district center) is also being prepared for an upgrade by the end of 2024.
The construction unit of the 25B Road project (from Nhon Trach District Center to Quach Thi Trang Road) is accelerating progress during sunny weather.
The 25B Road project commenced at the beginning of 2024, and the construction unit is speeding up progress on both sides of the route. On the left side, the contractor is working hard to recover lost time, taking advantage of sunny days and increasing shifts to ensure progress remains on schedule. On the right side, due to continuous rainy days, the contractor is focusing on the drainage system to make up for lost time. Currently, over 80% of the drainage system has been completed.
The road is 3.8 km long, and once completed, it will have a width of 24 meters, with three lanes in each direction. The section from the district center to the intersection with Ring Road 3 – Ho Chi Minh City will also feature parallel roads on both sides.
In addition, according to the Provincial Traffic Project Management Unit, construction to upgrade and expand the remaining section of 25B Road (from National Highway 51 to the district center) will begin in December 2024. This section is nearly 9.3 km long, with a total investment of approximately 1.5 trillion VND, including 176 billion VND for land clearance, while the rest covers construction and other related costs.
Nhon Trach District Chairman Nguyen The Phong also confirmed: "Currently, about 85% of the land for the 25B section from the district center to National Highway 51 has been cleared, allowing for the commencement of construction. The remaining land is being surveyed and appraised to complete compensation and hand over the land to the construction unit."
The project is currently in the appraisal and approval phase for construction design after the basic design and detailed project drawings. The early investment in upgrading and expanding the entire 25B Road is a long-standing desire of the people and businesses in Nhon Trach District, due to the deteriorating condition and overcapacity of this vital route.
