Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc delivers the meeting's conclusion.

The Chairman emphasized that the province had committed to the Prime Minister that the land for the project would be handed over before October 15. Therefore, both the party committees and local governments of these two areas must intensify efforts to inform and encourage residents to quickly hand over their land to facilitate project construction. The Department of Finance should collaborate with local authorities to guide the implementation of temporary housing policies for residents awaiting resettlement land. The Department of Natural Resources and Environment is tasked with helping localities resolve any issues related to land clearance.

The provincial leadership also instructed the Provincial Compensation, Land Clearance, and Resettlement Support Project Management Board to work closely with the Department of Planning and Investment to expedite procedures for the swift commencement of two resettlement areas in Bien Hoa City. Once the land is handed over by the local authorities, investors must immediately mobilize equipment and manpower to start construction, reflecting the urgency of the project. The Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with localities and relevant units to relocate infrastructure systems to avoid affecting the project's overall progress.

Chairman Vo Tan Duc also noted that, given the limited time, all parties must concentrate on completing their tasks. The Department of Home Affairs will monitor and report on the status of land handovers by October 15. Wards and communes that complete 100% of their land clearance will be commended by the Provincial People's Committee. Conversely, those that fail to meet their targets will face disciplinary action.

At the meeting, leaders from Bien Hoa City reported that for the section of the project passing through the city, compensation and support plans have been approved for 585 households out of the more than 1,500 households affected. Compensation has been paid to 214 households, amounting to nearly 709 billion VND. Currently, Bien Hoa City has handed over nearly 30 hectares out of a total of 59 hectares required for the project, accounting for 50% of the total area.

In Long Thanh District, for Component 1 of the project, compensation and support plans have been approved for 726 out of 1,020 cases, reaching nearly 84%, with payments made to 364 cases. For Component 2, compensation and support plans have been approved for 1,595 out of 1,758 cases, reaching nearly 86%, with payments made to 1,083 cases. Long Thanh District has handed over nearly 49 hectares of land, reaching close to 63% of the total area required for Component 1.
