Potential for growth
Currently, in the field of mechanical engineering, mold manufacturing is one of the particularly important manufacturing industries, which is considered as "the foundation of the industry", developing in the direction of focusing on investment and technology development. With the ability to produce products in large quantities, short production times and high levels of stability, molded products are indispensable tools in a wide variety of industrial production, from household appliances to modern aeronautical and electronic products.

With these potentials, the industry is interested by the State and many businesses have also invested in its development. According to experts, domestic mechanical component manufacturers have quite good capacity in a number of fields such as molds of all kinds, mechanical components, electrical cables, plastic components, technical rubber, etc. The demand of the supporting industry market is so great that businesses have also boldly invested to improve production capacity, found ways to connect sales to the FDI sector and focused on exporting mechanical products.

There have been a number of enterprises in Dong Nai achieved remarkable successes. For example, Tuong Lai Company Limited (Long Thanh district) has step by step entered the global supply chain. Mr. Truong Quoc Cuong, director of the company, said that the company specializes in supplying technical rubber and plastic products in the production of cars and motorcycles. Although it is a Vietnamese enterprise with a medium scale, the company's advantage is to actively manufacture molds. Instead of having to outsource, the autonomy of technology helps reduce costs and improve quality. Similarly, through the connection of Dong Nai Supporting Industry Coordinating Group, Dai A Thanh Co., Ltd (Bien Hoa city) has been connecting with a number of Japanese-invested enterprises inside and outside the province. Thanks to meticulous partners, the company's products are being improved at a rapid pace. According to the owner, the experience is that besides continuous improvement, you must always look for ways to progress yourself, always be on agreed schedule with customers and interact and respond quickly to fix any arising mistakes.
Support is always welcomed
The mechanical and manufacturing industry has great potential for development, but most local enterprises are limited in size and resources, subject to fierce competition with foreign enterprises, so their full potential has not been brought into full play. . In a survey with mechanical and manufacturing enterprises in Dong Nai, the majority of them are confident about their technical level, skills, ability to grasp new techniques, but are facing huge financial problems to invest in newer and modern machinery and equipment for production.

Limited technology capacity, and shortage of skilled workers are among the difficulties that mold engineering enterprises are facing. Along with that, the quality of qualified and skilled workers is still low, enterprises have to spend a lot of training for their workers to become better.

Enterprises also desire to have more favorable support policies for the industry, especially in preferential loans. In fact, to invest in development, it is very difficult for businesses to get loans from banks because of the great demand, but the loan amount is often not enough, many people have to consider external borrowing options. Having to pay high interest rates also erodes the health of businesses, especially in the current time period, so it is difficult to encourage potential for reinvestment.
