In the time when industrial lands up for leasing in industrial zones in Dong Nai have been filled, the implementation of infrastructure construction of Long Thanh high-tech industrial zone will contribute to solving the "thirst" to attract large projects investment.

More than 280 million USD invested in the new industrial park

Long Thanh Hi-tech Industrial Park has a total area of 410 hectares with a strategic location adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, and only 10km away from Long Thanh International airport. This industrial park has been awarded an investment certificate since 2015. After many years of efforts, Amata Long Thanh has cleared 247 hectares (about 60%), and has been granted a land use right certificate for 120 hectares.

In order to quickly put the project into operation, on July 7th, Amata Long Thanh Urban Joint Stock Company officially started construction of industrial park infrastructure. The total investment capital for this industrial park is 282 million USD, of which the investment in infrastructure construction in phase 1 is 945 billion VND (equivalent to 41 million USD), which is planned to complete in the second quarter of 2024.

Ms. Somhatai Panichewa, Managing Director of Amata Vietnam Public Company, shared that the project will follow strict international standards, consulting from the group's current industrial park models in Thailand and other developed countries. In particular, the core items such as treatment and reinforcement of the ground, construction of roads, water supply and drainage systems and dyke systems to prevent floods, pump rainwater, etc., are aimed at a synchronous, solid and quality structure… This is the amount of commitment the investor has during the construction of the project to create confidence attracting more secondary investors to the project.

Dong Nai has 31 industrial zones in operation with an area of over 10,000 hectares, which has basically filled up the rental area. Therefore, the construction of Long Thanh Hi-tech Industrial Park will meet the needs of corporations and investors who are planning to invest, contributing to the economic development of the province and locality in the coming time. Dong Nai will continue to accompany businesses, creating the most favorable conditions for the project to be implemented on schedule. Besides, the province also synchronously implements the infrastructure inside and outside the fence of the industrial park so that secondary projects can operate smoothly. At the same time, it will invite domestic and foreign corporations and businesses to learn and invest in industrial zones in general and Long Thanh hi-tech industrial park in particular.

Expect to be filled up soon

Currently, the remaining area of industrial land for lease in Dong Nai is quite small, making it difficult to meet the needs of large investors. However, with its advantages, Dong Nai continues to be chosen by investors. Particularly for Long Thanh Hi-tech Industrial Park, although it is in the implementation phase, Amata has welcomed more than 40 interested investors. The businesses' demand for land rental from Amata is over 300 hectares of industrial land from different countries and territories such as the United States, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China... This is a favorable condition for the following. When the infrastructure for phase 1 is completed, the industrial land that can be rented will quickly be filled.

For investors of secondary projects, their expectation is that the park's infrastructure will quickly be completed. At the same time, the locality creates favorable conditions for investment in a synchronous transport system, making it easier for businesses to go into operation. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Truong, General Director of Anh Duong Irradiation Technology Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh city), one of the early investors in Long Thanh Hi-tech Industrial Park, said that his company invested project will be constructed in an area of 2 hectares. Now that the company has signed a contract and has been granted an investment certificate, the project will start in July to invest in items. The project construction time is estimated to be 1 year and will be put into operation from June 2024. According to Mr. Truong, the investment advantage of Dong Nai in the future is still very large and that is what he and many other investors are interested in.
