On July 1, the Union of Provincial Friendship Organizations held the 3rd Executive Committee Meeting (term of 2020-2025) to review the first 6 months' work and deploy targets for upcoming time.
According to the Chairman of the Union of Provincial Friendship Organizations, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri, from now until the end of 2020, the Union of Provincial Friendship Organizations will organize many exchange and networking activities, including: organizing the program to celebrate 70 years of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Day; arrange delegations to visit and congratulate the National Day of Consulates from other countries staying in Ho Chi Minh City; coordinating with the Provincial Farmers' Union to implement the exchange program and introducing Vietnam - Thailand agricultural products ... Along with that, the Union of Provincial Friendship Organizations will continue to organize the congress of member associations and organizations to establish the Vietnam - ASIAN Friendship Association, term 2020-2025.
In the first 6 months of 2020, the Union of Provincial Friendship Organizations has implemented 25 programs, projects and non-project aids with a total committed investment capital of over VND 98 billion. In addition, at a time when people were affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the Union of Provincial Friendship Organizations mobilized more than VND 200 million to respond to the call "Whole nation participates in material and economic contribution for Covid-19 prevention” by Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province. The unit also cooperated with the provincial Labor Confederation to deliver 3,000 gifts to workers working in foreign-invested companies and people in difficult circumstances.…
