Non-essential activities will be suspended from May 5 to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued an urgent document to departments, branches and People's Committees of districts and cities to implement the direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.


In the document, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed to continue suspending non-essential activities such as: festivals, night markets, art performance venues, cinemas, and video game stores from at 00:00 on 5/5-2021 until further notice.

For the goods and service businesses allowed to operate but they must fully implement epidemic prevention and control measures, especially the mandatory wearing of face masks and hand washing. For food service businesses (especially coffee shops, milk tea) should not be crowded with people, ensure the distance; strengthen the form of home delivery, take-away.

Religious activities, meetings, depending on the size and conditions of space to balance the number of attendees not exceeding 50% of the capacity of the venue. The agency or unit in charge of the organization take responsibility by law for strictly complying with the requirements and conditions prescribed for safety assurance, epidemic prevention and control; must conduct temperature measurement, wear face masks and disinfect.

Chairman of People's Committees of districts, Long Khanh city, Bien Hoa city direct communes, wards and towns to propagate, mobilize and guide families to organize wedding ceremony, wedding party, celebration and funeral at the local in the current time, specifically: for wedding ceremony, weddingparty and celebration held within the family, limit large gatherings; for funerals, comply with regulations on urban and rural civilized lifestyles, not for long days.

The document also clearly stated that, requested restaurants, hotels, wedding centers and events to temporarily stop holding weddings and large gatherings. It is strictly forbidden to use roadways, curbs, sidewalks and public places to set up theaters for weddings and celebrations.

Heads of agencies, units and localities have plans to inspect and supervise the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic according to regulations; Heads of localities and units take full responsibility if an epidemic occurs in the area due to negligence.

Previously, on April 30, the Provincial People's Committee also issued Document No. 4558/UBND-KGVX on suspending some activities to carry out epidemic prevention and control.
