Adjust the centralized isolation period to 21 days

On May 5, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has just sent an urgent message on adjusting the time of concentrated isolation, the time of management after the end of concentrated isolation and Covid-19 prevention test.


The content of the dispatch required Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government-attached agencies and People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to continue strictly implementing regulations on concentrated isolation and management after the end concentrated isolation to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.

Adjustment of concentrated isolation time for cases have to concentrated isolation according to regulations, increasing from 14 days to at least 21 consecutive days in concentrated isolation areas from the date of entering the isolation area or last contact with people infected with SARS-CoV2 and conduct SARS-CoV2 testing at least 3 times on the first day, 14th day and 20th day during the concentrated isolation period.

Adjusting the time for continuing health monitoring at home and accommodation from 14 days down to the next 7 days after ending of concentrated isolation and conducting sampling for SARS-CoV2 testing on the 7th day (from the date of end of centralized isolation).
