News from the Dong Nai Statistics Department, the industrial production index in February in the province increased by 5.69% over the same period and decreased by 6.08% over the previous month. In which, the mining industry decreased by 29.08%; processing and manufacturing industry decreased by 5.99%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water and steam decreased by 5.11%; water supply, waste management and treatment activities, water decreased by 4.33% and 25 over 27 production industries decreased. The reason for the decrease was due to the Tet Holiday from 5-7 days, so the production index of all industries decreased.
If including the first two months of the year, industrial production still increased by 4.89% over the same period. In which, the mining industry increased by 1.94%; processing and manufacturing industry increased by 4.92%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water and steam by 4.21%; water supply, waste and water treatment and management activities increased by 6.56%. Overall, 23 over 27 manufacturing industries increased and 4 over 27 decreased. Although having just recovered from the Covid-19 pandemic, most businesses still face many difficulties, but the industrial production index in the province as above is a remarkable result.
