From now to 2030, localities in the province will spend nearly 17,900 hectares of land for transport infrastructure projects. Because once the roads are built, the connection will help the socio-economic development of each locality faster.

The localities in the province that have planned a lot of land to implement transport infrastructure projects are districts of Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, Trang Bom, Cam My, Xuan Loc, Tan Phu, and Dinh Quan.

Land is prioritized for the road construction

Dong Nai will prioritize land area and capital to develop the transport network connecting between localities in the coming years. In addition to the public investment capital allocated by the state, the province will exploit more advantageous land areas to have a budget for investment in many roads. In the coming years, in the province, many national, regional, provincial, district, commune and ward traffic projects will be built. In order to carry out traffic projects, a land use plan is required, because this is the base plan for the implementation of other sectoral plans.

Long Thanh District is the locality planned the largest land area in the province for the development of transport infrastructure with more than 6,100 hectares. The next is Cam My district planning 2,500 hectares to build traffic routes; Trang Bom District planned 2,450 hectares; Nhon Trach District planned 1,900 hectares; Tan Phu District planned 1,500 hectares; Dinh Quan District planned 1,500 hectares; Xuan Loc District planned 1,250 hectares.

Chairman of Tan Phu District People's Committee Nguyen Huu Ky said: "Tan Phu has prioritized a lot of land area to implement traffic projects of the country, province, district and commune to create breakthroughs in economic development of the locality and the region. Particularly, the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong Expressway Project with a length of more than 19km through the district is planned for nearly 394ha. In addition, the district has planned a lot of land area to expand the National Highway No. 20, Ta Lai - Tra Co Road, April 30 Road, Phu Xuan Nui Tuong Street, 600B Road, etc." By 2030, Tan Phu District plans 848 projects with an area of nearly 4,800 hectares, including 359 road projects.

According to Chairperson of the People's Committee of Trang Bom District Vu Thi Minh Chau, the district's target by 2030 will become a city. In the future, the district will become a fast-growing industrial and urban area, where people from different places come to live and work. The investment in roads is to facilitate the circulation and economic development of the locality. In addition, opening roads also helps districts and provinces exploit advantageous land areas to have capital to invest in other technical infrastructure projects.

More investment capital from land

As experiences, wherever in the province opened with new and wide roads, the trade, service and agricultural routes in that area will develop. At the same time, the land along the two sides of the road also increased in price many times. Therefore, the province has planned advantageous land plots in new investment routes or upgraded and expanded to have capital for investment in important transport infrastructure works.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi said: "Localities have included advantageous land plots in land use planning until 2030 to auction to increase investment capital for transport infrastructure. The developed transport system helps people develop agriculture, trade and services. Because the connected roads are convenient for transporting agricultural products, the prices of agricultural products increase.”

About 3 years ago, many "golden" land areas in Dong Nai auctioned for over VND50 billion per ha. Enterprises when they want to invest in some projects in Dong Nai also like to auction land to be able to do it quickly. Because the land plots put up for auction have detailed planning of 1 over 500, the process of implementing the project according to the planning of the land area is quite convenient, shortening the time for land and investment procedures. Therefore, in recent years, the land plots of 10 hectares or more have been put up for auction, and many businesses have applied to participate. It is expected that in the next 9 years, Dong Nai Province will have hundreds of "golden" land plots that will be auctioned for residential, commercial and educational areas.
