The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has just announced the results of the implementation of the set of indicators to evaluate the results of environmental protection of the provinces and centrally-run cities. According to the results of 3 evaluation levels: good, quite good and average, Dong Nai is in the group of good, along with 33 other provinces and cities. The higher localities rated as very good are Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Da Nang, Quang Ninh, and Tra Vinh.

This set of indicators is divided into two groups, in which there are notable indicators: the ratio of Industrial Zones, Hi-tech Park, Industrial Clusters with centralized wastewater treatment systems meeting the standards of environmental technical regulations; percentage of establishments causing serious environmental pollution are thoroughly handled; the rate of hazardous waste and daily-life solid waste being treated meets the requirements and People's satisfaction towards the quality of living environment.
