​2 seminars on eco-industrial zone in Dong Nai

Amata Industrial Park in Bien Hoa City was selected to pilot the eco-industrial park model

The Ministry of Planning and Investment plans to coordinate with Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority to organize 2 seminars: Industrial symbiosis in Amata Industrial Park; Training on financial tools to support enterprises and IZ in the transformation of ecological IZ models in Vietnam.

According to the plan, the workshop on Industrial Symbios in Amata Industrial Park will take place in the morning of November 25. Management agencies, manufacturing enterprises, infrastructure investors and service providers (raw materials, electricity, water, waste treatment...) will exchange and discuss policies; models, types of services and solutions for industrial symbiosis at Amata Industrial Park in order to save costs, towards cleaner production.

The workshop on financial tools to support enterprises and industrial zones in the transformation of ecological industrial zones in Vietnam will take place in the afternoon of the same day. The Ministry of Planning and Investment and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) introduced the provisions of the law, financial tools to support enterprises and industrial zones when converting to the eco-industrial park model.

​The model of industrial symbiosis and ecological industrial zones is one of the solutions to improve resource efficiency, reduce production costs and achieve the goal of sustainable and circulatory economic development.​
