Footwear is the largest export industry with over USD 4 billion

According to information from the Department of Industry and Trade, in 2022, the province's export turnover is estimated at nearly 24.6 billion USD and import is estimated at 18.8 billion USD, the trade balance was in favor of Dong Nai with a trade surplus of nearly 5.8 billion USD. This will be the highest level of trade surplus ever of Dong Nai. The major export surplus industries are footwear, textiles, wood products, textile fibers, means of transport and spare parts, and coffee.

Dong Nai currently exports more than 50 main products through 170 countries and territories. However, the markets that buy a lot of Dong Nai's goods are the United States, Japan, China, Europe and Korea.

 In the last 3 months of 2022, businesses in Dong Nai faced many difficulties in finding output for their products because the above large markets all reduced orders. Therefore, Dong Nai enterprises are promoting trade to expand exports to countries in the Middle East, South Africa, and ASEAN.
