The Provincial People's Committee has just sent a document to the Ministry of Health urgently requesting the Minister of Health to consider and create conditions for the additional supply of COVID-19 vaccine to Dong Nai to inject for workers in order to implement of the dual goals of fighting the epidemic and developing the economy under the direction of the Prime Minister.

The document also states that, although the province has actively implemented the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, with the super-contagious Delta variant, the epidemic is still complicated with many outbreaks in many localities across the province. In particular, many large outbreaks have appeared in people's markets, workers' hostels and some companies in the Industrial Zones of Long Binh, Song May, Long Thanh, Loc An - Binh Son, and Nhon Trach 2. In addition, several enterprises located outside the industrial zones with the number of workers from 10 to 30,000 people such as Pou chen Company, Chang shin Company have found many cases of COVID-19 infection. During the period July 10 to 17, 2021 only, the whole province had 319 new cases infected with Covid-19 as announced by the Ministry of Health. The risk of outbreaks and widespread spread in workers' dormitories, and production sites inside and outside the industrial zones in the province is very high.
The province has been allocated by the Ministry of Health with 226,520 doses of vaccine in the last 2 times. However, this number of vaccines is still not enough for prioritized people for free according to the Government's Resolution No. 21/NQ-CP (Dong Nai has over 400,000 people in priority). Meanwhile, nearly 1.2 million people working in companies located inside and outside Industrial Zones who have been threatened by the COVID-19 epidemic but have not yet had any vaccine shots injected.
The province wishes to have more vaccines to inject workers in production and business establishments inside and outside Industrial Zones to ensure continuous production and business activities and avoid disruption of the supply chain for the domestic and international markets, meeting the dual goals under the direction of the Government.
Dong Nai has also implemented social distancing according to Directive No.16 of the Prime Minister within 15 days from 00:00 on July 9, 2021. The province has set up more than 60 medical isolation zones (blockade) with 82, 609 households and more than 362,600 residents. By conducting the rapid investigation and tracing of F0 cases, screening at medical facilities, the medical units have conducted isolation, zoning and handling of outbreaks according to regulations. Currently, the medical physicians have treated 1,007 cases of COVlD-19, isolated 2,902 people in concentrated areas, and 8,436 people at home; medically followed up 1,349 people in their homes. The province continues to promote epidemic prevention measures in localities, especially epidemic prevention at production and business establishments inside and outside the Industrial Zones.
