According to the Thang Long Project Management Unit, the Ministry of Transport approved the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Project, Phase 1, under the public-private partnership (PPP) model at the end of July. It is expected that by December 2024, the bidding process for selecting the project investor will be completed.

The Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway spans over 60 kilometers. It starts at Km0+000, at the interchange with National Highway 1 connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, located in Dau Giay town, Thong Nhat district; it ends at Km60+243.83 (at the end of the intersection with National Highway 20), connecting to the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway in Phu Trung commune, Tan Phu district. The total investment for the project is nearly 9 trillion VND.

The expressway will pass through four districts in the province: Thong Nhat, Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan, and Tan Phu. The land clearance will be conducted in one phase with a total land area of approximately 378 hectares.

At the meeting, the Thang Long PMU requested the provincial People's Committee to instruct departments and sectors to support the implementation of the project, particularly in land clearance. Additionally, the province is urged to establish a Compensation, Land Clearance, and Resettlement Support Committee to facilitate collaboration with the Thang Long PMU in land clearance activities for the project.

In her concluding remarks, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hoang requested the four relevant localities to complete the compilation of land clearance data and submit it to the Department of Planning and Investment by September 12. Based on this, the Department will compile and present the land clearance compensation sub-project to the provincial People's Committee for approval, assigning tasks to localities for implementation by October 12.

Local authorities are also tasked with reviewing related plans to ensure alignment when implementing the project. Moreover, construction management should be strengthened to prevent unauthorized construction within the project area.

The Thang Long Project Management Unit is also urged to promptly implement and hand over the boundary maps for land clearance to localities to facilitate subsequent activities.
