China is the largest importer

According to the Department of Statistics in Dong Nai, businesses in the province imported more than USD1.1 billion from the Chinese market in the first three months of this year, accounting for more than 23% of the province's total import turnover. Currently, China is Dong Nai's largest import market. The group of goods that businesses in the province import a lot from this country are raw materials for the textile and garment industry, footwear, chemicals, plastics, iron and all kinds of steel, textile fibers, electronic components, etc.

For many years now, Dong Nai always had a trade deficit from the Chinese market. In the first quarter of 2022, Dong Nai has a trade deficit of USD540 million from China. In addition, Korea is a country where Dong Nai has a large trade deficit of about USD370 million at the same time. Dong Nai's goods with trade deficit from the two countries are all raw materials for production.
