The Provincial People's Committee has just promulgated the Trade Promotion Program in Dong Nai Province in 2022, and at the same time, the Department of Industry and Trade held a conference on implementing the trade promotion program and connecting the province's trade in the years to come.

This will promote trade promotion activities, connecting the province's trade after a period of interruption, affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. In which, the forms of trade promotion on digital platforms will be promoted.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, Director of Dong Nai Trade Promotion Center (Department of Industry and Trade), the unit will closely follow the content of activities in the program of Dong Nai Trade Promotion in 2022 to deploy appropriate trade connection activities and flexibility in new situations.
In particular, about fairs and exhibitions inside and outside the province, besides the Thai Food and Shopping Fair has just been held in March 2022, the center is expected to coordinate with other fairs in the province including: Dong Nai Industry - Trade Fair in 2022, High Quality Vietnamese Goods Fair in Dong Nai Province in 2022, Shopping Fair at the end of 2022, etc.
In addition, it also connects businesses in the province to participate in fairs and exhibitions outside the province such as fairs in some southern provinces, Vietbuild International Exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam International Trade Fair. In Hanoi, the OCOP fair (one commune one product program) in Quang Ninh. Furthermore, it also organized trade connection conferences, seminars, and connect supply and demand conference between Dong Nai and suppliers of provinces and cities in the North, Central, the South, and distribution and retail systems in Dong Nai.
Many local businesses and cooperatives in the province expressed their opinions, about the angle of connecting the OCOP products with supermarkets in the province, because supermarkets have many product codes and brand names in advance, so many local products and OCOP products are still not easy to get into supermarkets. Moreover, if it wants to enter the supermarket, it has to go through many stages, many procedures, high costs, and the high discount for supermarkets. Therefore, it needs a supporting and flexible method to bring new products of local businesses and cooperatives into the supermarket.
Ms. Dang Thi Thuy Nga, representative of Xuan Dinh Agricultural Service Trading Cooperative (Xuan Loc District), said that the cooperative wishes to have long-term connections with supermarket systems so that they can proactively ensure supply resources as well as develop appropriate production and distribution plans, gradually develop brand names of many local specialty fruits.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan added that Dong Nai Trade Promotion Center will work closely with associations to grasp the needs of support in terms of markets, products, as well as the best way to support businesses in 2022. At the same time, working actively with small and medium enterprises; focusing on enterprises that achieve typical rural industrial products, OCOP products in order to provide timely guidance and support in the field of promotion and market expansion...
Mr. Le Van Loc, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade shared that in the coming time, the Department will coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities so as to proactively support and connect with local businesses, including developing implementing trade promotion activities, developing export markets, focusing on traditional and major markets, organizing activities to update market information, connecting and expanding new markets in the context of integration Free Trade Agreement (FTA); programs associated with the movement of Vietnamese people to give priority of using Vietnamese goods, programs of Vietnamese goods in the countryside, fairs serving workers and employees in industrial zones; connecting supply and demand inside and outside the province.
For the project of promoting the application of information technology and digital transformation in trade promotion activities in the period from 2021 to 2030, the Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with relevant ministries, branches, and units to develop a plan to declare the above project annually. Including trade promotion through the application of information technology and digital transformation, expanding export markets actively.
