Dong Nai proposes to the Prime Minister to increase the area of land for Industrial Zones development

With a variety of favorable conditions, Dong Nai proposed to the Prime Minister to reconsider the area of land for Industrial Zones which needs developed by 2030 so that the locality can accelerate development. This is the recommendation of the Provincial People's Committee at the national online conference on socio-economic situation, recovery and development program; the allocation and disbursement of public investment capital and the implementation of important national transport on April 5.

At the conference, reporting to the Government on the economic, social, national defense and security situation of the province, Mr. Cao Tien Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the province's GRDP will reach a growth rate of 6,14 percent in the first Quarter of 2022. The size of the economy is quite large, according to the Provincial People's Committee, the above growth rate creates a large momentum for Dong Nai to continue growing in the following quarters. Regarding import and export, Dong Nai achieved a trade surplus of about USD1.5 billion with most of the items recovering quite well to serve import and export.

Dong Nai also collected 35% of the yearly estimate in the first quarter of 2022. The national defense and security work continues to be maintained, creating stability for socio-economic development.

In the years to come, Dong Nai will continue to focus on giving the highest priority solutions for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic and economic recovery according to Resolution 11/NQ-CP of the Government. However, to create favorable conditions for the locality to accelerate development, Dong Nai has also proposed to the Government to prioritize more mechanisms for localities, especially increasing the target of land for Industrial Zones development.

Recently, Dong Nai has received an allocation of 18.5 thousand hectares of land for Industrial Zone development for the locality by 2030. According to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Cao Tien Dung, who promoted target will help the locality finds it difficult to promote industrial development to make full use of its potential and advantages. “The locality must have an airport, a seaport and good conditions for development in a virant area so that this target is very difficult for Dong Nai Province, especially the mountainous areas" - Mr. Cao Tien Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said.

Being well-control and following the progress of major transport projects

For the major transport projects of the central government being implemented in the province, the Provincial People's Committee appraised that the locality is still controlling the situation well and ensuring the progress.

Specifically, for the project of Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway, there is currently only the land area of ​​1 household in Thong Nhat District has not been completed. “In the next week, if there is no compromise, the locality will conduct coercion to complete the site clearance. The source of backfilling materials has also been resolved by the province to ensure that contractors can construct," emphasized by Mr. Cao Tien Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

For the Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City’s project, Dong Nai is also waiting for the Government's policy to carry out. The province will also have a commitment on capital sources to ensure resources for project implementation. Along with that, over the past time, the province has also had contact with a number of units to research and invest in Ring Road 4 of Ho Chi Minh City with the form of BOT. At the same time, the locality has also planned and determined locations to exploit the advantageous land fund to create capital for the project. Requesting localities in projects should prepare resettlement areas in advance so that when there are investors, it can be implemented quickly.

For the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway, Dong Nai has also actively planned to build resettlement areas in advance to arrange resettlement for people. When the project is implemented, the site clearance will be early completed.

Similarly, at present, the Provincial People's Committee has also prepared a report to inform to the Provincial People's Council at the extraordinary meeting held in mid-April on the conversion of land use purposes for the forest land area of ​​the project. Dau Giay - Lien Khuong Expressway must ensure the legal basis for the project.

For the Long Thanh International Airport project, in particularly, Dong Nai has now handed over a land area of ​​more than 2.1 thousand hectares out of a total of more than 2,500 hectares to serve the first phase of project.
