Mr. Cao Tien Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

Mr. Cao Tien Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung has recently chaired a meeting with the departments, the Dong Nai Business Association and a number of businesses to discuss the content of continuing to sign economic development agreements with Arkansas (USA). In May 2015, Dong Nai signed a cooperation agreement with Arkansas in the fields of commerce, services, agriculture, health, education, science and technology, cultural exchange, tourism and strengthen foreign relations between the two localities in the period 2015-2020. Thereby, the two localities have created favorable conditions for businesses to learn and penetrate the market between the two countries, expand import and export of agricultural and industrial products. However, from 2020 to now, the Covid-19 pandemic has affected international economic exchanges and cooperation between the two localities, so it has not been possible to carry out in-depth activities.

At the meeting, Mr. Cao Tien Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee asked departments to review the contents and proposed directions for re-signing the 5-year cooperation agreement in the next period (2022-2026) to promote economic development of the two regions. We will focus on the fields of commerce, services, food processing industry, supporting industries, high-tech agriculture, biotechnology creating favorable conditions for Dong Nai enterprises to expand exports and attract investment to the province.
