The Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has just established a Steering Committee for prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of Corona virus in Dong Nai province (Steering Committee). Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee is the Head of the Steering Committee; The Standing Vice-Chairman is Mr. Nguyen Hoa Hiep, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Heads include Mr. Phan Huy Anh Vu - Director of Department of Health, Mr. Huynh Thanh Vinh - Director of Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Decision also states that the Steering Committee will assist the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in directing, operating, and coordinating with related departments and agencies and localities in the prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of Corona virus in Dong Nai province; Directing the coordination between departments, committees and branches under the Provincial People's Committee with Party agencies, Fatherland Front and People's Committees of districts and cities to mobilize resources to participate in and support the implementation of the emergency plan of Ministry of Health in prevention and control of this epidemic. The Steering Committee is responsible for organizing the implementation, urging departments, agencies, localities and other relevant agencies to implement the Chairman's instruction, daily reporting to the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and competent authorities about this epidemic situation.
The Vice Chairmen of the Steering Committee are responsible for helping the Head of the Steering Committee to implement the assigned tasks. In the event that the Chairman of the Steering Committee authorizes the Standing Vice-Chairman, the Deputy Heads to handle the affairs of the Steering Committee, they are allowed to use the agency's seal, apparatus and means within the scope and authorized powers.
For the standing agencies and relevant agencies and units such as the Department of Health - the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee is allowed to use the apparatus and means of the agency to serve the activities of the Steering Committee; preside over, advise and assist the Steering Committee on the management and organization of the implementation of contents on prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of Corona virus.
Responsible for developing the Operation Regulation of the Steering Committee, advise the establishment of an Expert Group to assist the Steering Committee (if necessary) after reaching agreement with members of the Steering Committee and relevant branches before submitting it to the Head of the Steering Committee for consideration and decision for promulgation strictly according to law provisions; synthesize the names of specific personnel appointed to the Steering Committee and make a list to report to the Chairman of the Steering Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and notify the Department of Home Affairs for monitoring.
