WP - The Prime Minister has just sent documents to ministries, branches and localities on the proactive prevention and control of influenza A (H5N1) in poultry and humans. To proactively prevent influenza A (H5N1) outbreaks in poultry and the risk of transmission to humans, there should be no outbreak of epidemics in the context of acute respiratory infections caused by Corona virus (nCoV) on who is going on, the Prime Minister asks:

Ministries, branches, People's Committees of provinces and cities under the jurisdiction of the central government, organizations and individuals continue to strictly and drastically follow the direct from the Secretariat, the Government and the Prime Minister on strengthening preventive measures against new complicated developments of acute respiratory infections caused by nCoV; promptly implement synchronous measures to prevent and combat bird flu in accordance with the contents of the Prime Minister's Decision No. 172 / QD-TTg on February 13th, 2019, approving the "National defense plan, against Avian Influenza in the period of 2019-2025", prevent avian influenza from entering Vietnam.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with ministries, branches and localities in, focusing on drastically and effectively implementing the contents of Decision No. 172 / QD-TTg, strengthening inspection work, quarantine to minimize the poultry and unprocessed poultry products circulating in the market, reinforce market management, direct and enhance supervision and early detection of cases suspected of contracting influenza A (H5N1) and other types of avian influenza in humans, actively monitoring in the community, advising people on measures to prevent and control avian influenza spread from poultry to humans, well organized the monitoring, early detection, timely handling of poultry diseases and timely notification.
The presidents of the People's Committees of the provinces and cities under the jurisdiction of the central government shall direct the concerned branches to well organize the monitoring, early detection, timely handling of epidemics in poultry and promptly notify the health sector when detected outbreaks on poultry flocks. Guide poultry owners to intensify the strict application of biosafety breeding methods, proactive measures to prevent and vaccinate influenza vaccines for poultry. For provinces with international border gates, the borderline strictly enforces the animal quarantine at the border gates, highly prohibit the transporting and trading poultry through the border gates and smuggling import across the border.
Proposing Ministries, Ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, People's Committees of provinces and cities under the jurisdiction of the central government to strictly perform the assigned tasks to proactively prevent and fight against influenza epidemics on poultry and humans in efficiency.
