On the morning of February 2, the provincial Party Committee and the provincial People's Committee held a commendation ceremony for units under the provincial Police Department for excellent achievements in ensuring security and order in the 2020 Lunar New Year-Year of the Rat. The meeting was attended by comrades Nguyen Phu Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Cao Tien Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Pham Van Ru, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee; Pham Ngoc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, along with representatives of a number of departments.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Vu Hong Van, Director of the Provincial Public Security Department, said that after more than 1 month of peak implementation, the provincial public security force successfully destroyed 15 gangs with 86 organized criminal activities; broke 88 points of 513 gambling sinners and organizing gambling (accounting for 52% of the whole year 2019); deleted 18 escort prostitutions; discovered and handled many economic violations, collected more than 700kg of firecrackers... In addition, the police force has organized more than 3,400 shifts with more than 12,000 turns of officers and soldiers patrolling and controlling on target roads and localities, thereby detecting many violations. The police force also inspected over 2,000 conditional business establishments, fined violating establishments with the amount of over VND 600 million.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee is awarding the Certificate of Merit to the high-achieving collective.
At the ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong praised the sense of responsibility and outstanding achievements of the provincial police force in ensuring security and order on the occasion of the 2020 Lunar New Year Festival. In particular, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the provincial police actively coordinated with the departments and branches to advise the Provincial Party Committee and the provincial People's Committee in implementing measures to ensure safety and order for the people to enjoy the Tet Festival; Meanwhile, measures to fight and repress crimes and social evils are taken in order to contribute to maintaining security in the province.
Also according to the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the security and order situation in the area still has many potential factors causing instability, especially the crimes of “black credit”, drugs, gambling still have complicated happenings, causing anxiety among the community; thus, the provincial police continue to promote the achieved results, deploy more drastically and effectively preventive measures and fight against all kinds of crimes, maintain strict discipline and social order, contribute to building a safe society, effectively serving the local socio-economic development.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Cao Tien Dung awarded certificates of merit of the Provincial People's Committee to 11 teams with outstanding achievements in ensuring security and order in the 2020 Lunar New Year Festival. Under the authorization of the Ministry of Public Security, the Director of the Provincial Public Security Department awarded the certificate of merit and the amount of 45 million VND of the Minister of Public Security to 4 units of the Provincial Police and the Ministry of Public Security for outstanding achievements in participating in breaking down large-scale counterfeit goods production line in Bien Hoa City before the Lunar New Year.
