WP - On February 11, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Van Vinh had a meeting with departments, branches and People's Committee of Long Thanh district about the construction progress of the resettlement area for the project of Long Thanh International Airport (Long Thanh airport).

According to the report of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Unit (PMU) on the component project: Technical infrastructure system of Loc An - Binh Son Resettlement Area, for priority items including drainage routes and 4 main roads which have been approved by the provincial People's Committee to design construction drawings. The items of roads, drainage, trees, lighting systems, and telecommunications routes D1, D18, N23, N39, PMU are being gathered by the PMU to seal the appraisal of design documents and at the same time urge consulting units to revise cost estimates. For designs of the remaining works of the 12 areas, basically, verification of the design drawings has been completed so far. The consulting units are preparing to adjust the cost estimates according to the instructions of the Department of Construction on implementation of guiding circulars Decree 68/2019/ND-CP.

Some of the current problems are the change of Decree 32/2015/ND-CP to Decree 68/2019/ND-CP making it difficult to determine labor wages and construction machine unit prices in accordance with the guiding circular of the Ministry of Construction. At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Vinh directed the Department of Construction to chair the meeting urgently with related departments to promptly overcome difficulties. Leaders of the provincial People's Committee requested to resolve problems of unit prices in time to implement the project in February.
