cum Chairman of Institute for National Science of Laos, Mr. Boviengkham
Vongdara on his visit to Institute for Vietnam Science and Technology.

At the reception, the Deputy Prime Minister said that Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara’s visit showed the excessive interests in the important role of science and technology from both countries, which is the basis for the quick and sustainable development of the two parties.
The Deputy Prime Minister told that Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara’s visit to Institute for Vietnam Science and Technology, as well as the result of science-technology cooperation between 2 countries has contributed to the strong impulse for relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
Accordingly, the Institute for National Science of Laos and Institute for Vietnam Science and Technology reassessed the cooperation results lately, also discussed and agreed further cooperation in fields which catch the attention of both countries such as enhancing the capacity to study science and technology, building Laos Atlas as well as the overall planning for socioeconomic development for some provinces of the country, and cooperating to do research on biotechnology, climate change and proper use of natural resources…
Both parties also signed the agreements on training courses for scientific workers, consultancy on building sub-institutes for Earth sciences, training courses for researchers and technicians to work in sub-institutes for Earth sciences…
The Minister Boviengkham Vongdara thanked the deputy Prime Minister for greeting the Delegation; he reported the results of cooperation between two countries and plans for the further cooperation to the Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc. This showed the totally close solidarity and coordination between two countries in general and in the field of science –technology in particular.
Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara’s visit will bring the cooperation of science and technology between two countries to higher levels
* On this occasion, on behalf of the leaders of Laos Party and Government, Minister Boviengkham Vongdara gave the noble rewards of Laos to the Institute for Vietnam Science and Technology and several scientists working for this Institute. The Institute also gave the Honorary Doctorate degree to Minister Boviengkham Vongdara.
