On July 23rd, Mr Truong Tan Sang, member of politburo and head of the central economic committee, had a working session with Dong Nai authorities on the implementation of the central resolution No 3 and No 9 of 9th National Assembly to restructure state-owned enterprises in Dong Nai province.

Welcoming Mr. Truong Tan Sang were Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh, Provincial Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Council, and Mr. Vo Van Mot, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee.

After hearing the reports on the implementation of the central resolution No 3 and No 9 of 9th National Assembly to restructure state-owned enterprises in Dong Nai province, the head of central economic committee highly valued the achievements of state-owned enterprises in Dong Nai province after being restructured, particularly that of the enterprises transferred into Corporation model and head-subsidiary model. He assumed that Dong Nai had basically and effectively implemented the two resolutions. As a result, These enterprises had eliminated debt, reduced the labours and management board and enhanced their technologies. He, however, reminded the Dong Nai authorities that the speed of transferment was lower than as that of the provincial plan (just 29 of 39 state-owned enterprises had been restructured).  To have state-owned enterprises in Dong Nai province to survive and develop in an increasingly tougher competition environment of international economy, Dong Nai should keep on carrying out the road map to transfer the rest in a definte and effective way. The transferment should base on the market thought. Before having these enterprises transferred, they should be restructured.

On the same day, He had paid a visit to Dong Nai food industry enterprise which had just been transferred into head-subsidiary model.
